The LAM museum is in the middle of the bulb region — tulip land! The hundreds of bulbs on our patch start flowering in early spring. If you visit us then, you’ll be able to admire Keukenhof’s world-famous bulb fields from the museum.

After all that food art for the eyes at the LAM museum, it’s time to treat your tummy. Fancy a cup of coffee, a snack or a full meal? Look no further than restaurant De Hofboerderij, a few minutes’ walk from the museum.

Other options include Het Tussenstation or Tespelduyn Estate, both a short cycle ride or drive away.

And you can stop wherever you like. Spotted a place for a drink? Brakes on, park your bike and sit down for a sip. If you’re here in summer, do as the Dutch do and grab a box of kibbeling: crunchy, battered morsels of fish that are best enjoyed at the seafront.
